Did you set your clocks back?
An extra hour. What can you do with an extra hour? What will you do?
“How you measure it is how it will be measured back to you.” – JC
When we measure an extra hour as a groundbreaking opportunity, a gift to launch us from stagnation and procrastination into activation and empowerment, that’s what the universe measures back to us.
“Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they’re yours.” – Richard Bach
Some people, however, instead of reconnecting with and releasing this power, measure an hour – and many other daily opportunities – as irrelevant. The way they “measure” it is based on their mood, feelings, attitude or how comfortable the bed is.
Those who are a bit jade cannot see opportunity through goggles of their learned prejudices, often toward the very people providing what everyone else can see as an opportunity.
Guess what these folks get again and again? Yep. More of what they had, and probably what they will complain about next year. If they live that long.
“Protect your heart with all diligence; for out of it flow the forces of life.” -King Solomon
“Protect your heart with all diligence,” speaks the wisdom of Proverbs, “for out of it flow the forces of life.” Ironic that thousands of years ago – that’s a lot of hours – a handful of masters knew more about living than many of those clogging the airwaves and interweb today.
To be fair, living today and meeting the demands of the modern world – including remembering passwords for hundreds of digital portals – puts many times more pressure on us than was experienced by people thousands of years ago.
Though modern folk seem to have an excuse or opinion for everything.
Learning often stops where opinions start.
My best reminder each morning before the modern world overwhelms us is that the real forces of life don’t come from the modern world – from schools, governments or technology – but from Life.
Life was designed to flow through us, not just around us, and not only for us. The things we learn outside of us merely determine how much of the flow makes it out of the “Life Spigot” residing inside us.
We each control the amount of Life we allow in us and through us for changing the things outside of us.
Are you limited in money? Health? Love? Wisdom? Faith? There’s an abundance of resources at the Source. This is no time for rationing.
The Source of Life has been there all along, through every age, for many thousands of years, and available to everyone. How we each measure it is how it is measured back to each of us.
“Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they’re yours.” – Richard Bach
How much Life we receive, then, has nothing to do with the source, and everything to do with our control of the “spigot.”
Learned beliefs and the adopted opinions of others are the only things stopping the flow of power from creating the outer life we truly desire.
Daylight Saving Time is a perfect opportunity to open the spigot up. Listen to an inspiring audiobook by an action hero, philanthropist, tech genius or philosopher. Read a few of the Proverbs of Solomon before reading the News. Watch a Jim Rohn or Patrick Bet David YouTube video.
And don’t let the limited opinions of others limit you or the control the flow of Life in and through YOUR life anymore.
And after your bonus hour is over, you may even consider opening the spigot again for another hour, and for the hour after that, and the hour after that…
